Studio News: Upcoming events, up and coming teachers ...
The Studio's Littlest Yogini has Passed -- Rest in Peace, Muffin
Muffin, Véronique's much loved miniature doberman pincer, passed away in the arms of her loving friend in the early hours of Dec. 28th. Studio regulars will miss being greeted by her, and hearing her nails clicking by on the cork floor during Savasana.
Update for students of Kathe Bowman's Equilibrium Yoga class, Wednesdays at 12:15. The Wednesday February 28th edition (only) is canceled.
Yoga for Seniors! The studio is thoroughly delighted to welcome Mary Beth Thomas, an experienced local teacher, to Sanctuary Yoga. Winter is often a time of decreased activity as we age. A regular yoga practice can be the perfect antidote! Mary Beth's yoga is a gentle practice that is meant to enhance balance and restore lost flexibility. Please give her new mid-morning class a try and see if it doesn't work wonders -- perhaps it will put a spring in your step before Spring arrives in the air!
The class meets Tuesdays 10:00 am - 11:00 am.
So many workshops, so little time ...

We are blessed and honored to announce that Kyoun Sokuzan, head teacher at SokukoJi Buddhist Temple Monastery in Battle Creek, will be coming for another one of his occasional visits to Kalamazoo!
In the past the format has been introductions, a brief Zen sitting meditation, a talk about some aspect of the Dharma, and then a lively Q&A session with those assembled.
The studio is usually filled with some of the Monday night Zen Sitting regulars as well as new faces and area friends of Sanctuary and Sokukoji.
Please, join us!
