Zen Sitting Meditation - Shikantaza
45 - 50 mins sitting,
​plus 1 hr reading
Donations lovingly accepted
This class will give participants an opportunity to learn and practice the traditional Zen sitting meditation called Shikantaza. Shikantaza encourages an upright posture either sitting on a cushion or in a chair.  Practitioners will learn to begin prioritizing their awareness and looking more deeply into this complex body/mind we have been born into.

After meditation there is an optional dharma study/group discussion of some Zen literature for an hour.

All are welcome -- teachings are freely given but your donations are greatly appreciated to help support the space and Sanctuary Yoga.
